Connect an AI

cix works with the AI you choose. You can connect one when you first sign in, or later in Settings.

A ChatGPT plan

cix uses your plan through Codex, OpenAI's coding tool. Choose ChatGPT plan, then sign in to ChatGPT in the window that opens. There is nothing extra to pay.

An OpenAI or Anthropic API key

Paste your key when asked. cix keeps it in your Mac's keychain, not in your cix account. Conversations on an API key have a spending limit, so a long task can't run up a surprise bill.
